Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20 after winning T20 World Cup.
Left-arm spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20I after India’s win in the Men’s T20 World Cup at Kensington Oval. India defeated South Africa by seven runs to secure their second T20 World Cup title, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament.
Jadeja’s T20I career began in 2009 against Sri Lanka, and he played 74 matches for India, scoring 515 runs at an average of 21.45 and a strike rate of 127.16. In the field he took 28 catches and took 54 wickets at an average of 29.85 with the ball and a strike rate of 7.13.
After missing the 2022 tournament due to a knee injury, Jadeja expressed his gratitude and announced his retirement on Instagram, saying he would continue to play ODIs and Tests for India. He joins Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in retiring from T20Is after India’s historic win in Barbados.
