The McDonald’s All-American Game is a highly anticipated event that showcases the talent of high school basketball players, often viewed as a preview of future stars in both college basketball and the NBA.
In this year’s game, the East managed an impressive comeback, securing an 88-86 win over the West. The match lived up to the expectations, provided thrilling moments for the fans and highlighted the potential of these young athletes.
Cooper Flagg headlined this year’s McDonald’s All-American Game, but it was his Monteverde Academy teammate Derrick Quinn who grabbed the spotlight for the East team. Quinn, committed to Maryland, made a critical steal and scored two key baskets late in the fourth quarter, earning him co-MVP honors with Dylan Harper. Harper, who is headed to Rutgers, led West’s offense throughout the game.
The McDonald’s All-American roster features many future high-major Division-I players, with Kentucky boasting three recruits. Alabama, Duke, Indiana, North Carolina and Rutgers each had two representatives.
