Introduction

Ayodhya, known as the holy abode of Lord Ram, is preparing for the grand celebration of Holi this year. Acharya Satyendra Das, chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, has said that the festival of colors will be celebrated with much pomp and devotion to pay tribute to the revered deity.

This year, Holi is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in the honor of Lord Ram. As soon as Lord Ram appeared in Ayodhya, after the Pran Pratistha ceremony, devotees have gathered here for his darshan, creating a remarkable and wonderful atmosphere,” Das shared with ANI.

The chief priest of the Ram temple said, “The divine leela of Lord Ram’s devotees unfolded after his Pran Pratistha and similarly, this year’s Holi will also be wonderful in its own way.” Das further explained that gulal or colored powder will be applied, along with offerings of kachori, gujiya, puri, kheer and other delicacies will be offered to Lord Ram. Prasad will also be distributed during the festival.

Emphasizing on the unique enthusiasm, Das attributed it to the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram. He told the agency, “This level of enthusiasm is truly remarkable; this is the first time that we have seen so much enthusiasm, and it is all thanks to the consecration ceremony of Lord Rama.”

Earlier in the day, a large number of devotees gathered at the Ram temple in Ayodhya to celebrate the festival of colours. “The joyous occasion marks the first Holikotsav of Lord Shri Ram Lalla since the installation of the grand temple,” Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra said on Thursday
