According to the sources, on Wednesday night, Buddhadeb’s breathing problem went to excessive levels. But that was dealt with at night. It was then decided that the Woodlands doctors would come and examine him by 11 am on Thursday. If necessary, he will be admitted to the hospital. Because he was very reluctant to go to the hospital. So doctors’ advice was thought of. That’s how it went. But Buddhadev fell ill again from Thursday morning. Got up in the morning and had tea after breakfast. After that he fell ill again and tried to give him nebulizer. According to sources, he suffered from heart disease at that time. The doctors were informed quickly. They came and declared Buddhadev dead.
Like his predecessor Jyoti Bose in the Chief Ministership, Buddhadev has donated his body posthumously. The state leadership of CPM has started discussions on where and how that process will be completed. They will also discuss the issue of paying last respects to Buddha. Buddhadev was a member of the Politburo. As a result, Delhi leaders will also have a role to play in his final journey. His body is currently being kept in a two-room flat on Palm Avenue.
