Nate Diaz knew that in his pro boxing debut if he could make Jake Paul go a full 10 rounds instead of 8 it will be to his benefit. But instead, Paul (7-1, 4 KO) once again proved why MMA fighters have not been successful in boxing ring by controlling the game right from round one to the last to emerge victorious the unanimous decision on Saturday night in Dallas.
Paul’s boxing was just too skilled for Diaz in particular, a guy who attempted to turn things ugly by owning a face-first style and slapping combinations. Paul had the power to offset Diaz’s awkwardness take him to the deep finisher and rattled him in the first round and the fifth round knock down by a step back left hook which made Diaz almost fallen through the ropes.
Of course, that was there for a bit, but Paul had the raw power and the endurance never wavered for the first time in his career to fight ten rounds.
‘He is strong,’ The words came out of Paul’s mouth after the fight. “He is real tough that’s what he is famous for But tough in this sport doesn’t work I knocked him down won basically every round He is a warrior you know I punched him in the first round but he kept pushing forward.”

Diaz adopted many of the heel moves that characterized his popular mixed martial arts career as he toyed with McGregor, exaggerated being in pain and turned the tables on the fight in every which way. Although, those antics appeared to phase Paul in the early stages of the fight in the later rounds Paul had stopped paying attention to Diaz and was using Diaz’s shenanigans as an opportunity to land clean shots to an opponent who was practically boxing out of the ring.jake paul
